ORDINANCE NO. 010785

 

Amending the General Development and Land Use Plan, Kansas City International Airport, as amended, by changing the land use designation from agricultural and low density residential uses to regional business for an approximately 60 acre tract of land generally located on the north side of N.W. Barry Road, approximately 2000 feet east of N. Childress Avenue. (247-S-77)

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That the General Development and Land Use Plan, Kansas City International Airport, as amended, is hereby amended by changing the land use designation from agricultural and low density residential uses to regional business for an approximately 60 acre tract of land generally located on the north side of N.W. Barry Road, approximately 2000 feet east of N. Childress Avenue, and more specifically described as follows:

 

A tract of land in the Northwest Quarter of Section 10, Township 51, Range 34, Kansas City, Platte County, Missouri, described as follows: Commencing at the southeast corner of said Northwest Quarter; thence North 00E04'01" East, along the east line of said Northwest Quarter, a distance of 40 feet to a point on the north line of N.W. Barry Road, as now established, said point also being the point of beginning of the tract of land herein to be described; thence North 89E49'58" West, along the north line of said N.W. Barry Road, a distance of 720 feet; thence North 00E55'33" East, a distance of 363 feet; thence North 89E49'58" West, a distance of 120 feet; thence South 00E55'33" West, a distance of 363 feet to a point on the north line of said N.W. Barry Road; thence North 89E49'58" West, along the north line of said N.W. Barry Road, a distance of 26 feet; thence North 00E55'33" East, a distance of 363 feet; thence North 89E49'58" West, a distance of 120 feet; thence North 00E16'13" East, a distance of 958 feet; thence North 89E29'25" West, a distance of 329 feet; thence North 00E11'55" East, a distance of 995 feet; thence North 89E41'30" West, a distance of 712 feet to a point on the south right of way line of Missouri Route 152, as now established; thence North 77E41'53" East, along said south right of way line, a distance of 225 feet; thence North 84E31'03" East, along said south right of way line, a distance of 165 feet; thence North 89E00'50" East, along said south right of way line, a distance of 561 feet; thence South 89E50'32" East, along said south right of way line, a distance of 1067 feet to a point on the east line of said Northwest Quarter; thence South 00E04'01" West, along the east line of said Northwest Quarter, a distance of 2349 feet to the point of beginning. Said tract of land contains 59.79 acres, more or less.

all as shown outlined on a map marked General Development and Land Use Plan, Kansas City International Airport, as amended, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the aforesaid plan and as an amendment to Section 80-206.

 

Section B. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
