ORDINANCE NO. 960454

Authorizing an annual contract with Crawford Mechanical Contractors, Inc., for emergency repairs and maintenance of plumbing at various City-owned facilities in an amount not to exceed $150,000.00 and authorizing the Director of Public Works to expend up to $150,000.00 from appropriated funds therefor.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the work of providing emergency repairs and maintenance of plumbing in various City-owned facilities for the period beginning with the date stated in the official Notice to Proceed through April 30, 1997, is hereby provided for and authorized.

Section 2. That the work shall be done in accordance with the specifications and the contract therefor between Kansas City, through its Director of Public Works, and Crawford Mechanical Contractors, Inc., in the amount not to exceed $150,000.00, which contract is on file in the office of the Director of Public Works and is incorporated herein by reference.

Section 3. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend a sum not to exceed $150,000.00 from funds appropriated to Account No. 97-100-089-7727-T as and for consideration in the aforesaid contract.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
