Approving and accepting a contract with the Good Samaritan Project whereby Good Samaritan will provide emergency assistance services to persons with HIV+, for the period April 4, 1994 through March 31, 1995, under the Ryan White Title I Supplemental Grant, in the amount of $62,167.00.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Health is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with the Good Samaritan Project to provide sensitive and effective emergency assistance services to persons with HIV+, for the period of April 4, 1994 through March 31, 1995, under the Ryan White Title I Supplemental Grant, in an amount of $62,167.00 previously appropriated in Account No. 95-273-050-2445-B by Ordinance No. 940558. A copy of said contract is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
