ORDINANCE NO. 970427

Authorizing extensions of contracts with Missouri Public Service, a division of UtiliCorp United Inc., through March 31, 1998, for leasing certain street lights and for supplying electric energy for city street lights, and establishing an agreement to renegotiate elements of the contract at the request of either party.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is authorized to enter into and execute an extension effective through March 31, 1998, to the City's agreement approved by Ordinance No. 55607 and previously extended by Ordinance No. 960255 with Missouri Public Service, a division of UtiliCorp United Inc., for leasing of street lights, in a form substantially like that shown in Attachment #A.

Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is authorized to enter into and execute an extension effective through March 31, 1998, to the City's agreement approved by Ordinance No. 56118 and previously extended by Ordinance No. 960255 with Missouri Public Service, a division of UtiliCorp United Inc., for supplying energy for city street lighting, in a form substantially like that shown in Attachment #B.
