Amending Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances, by
adding a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0126, rezoning an area of
approximately 19 acres generally bounded by 19th Street on the north, Benton
Boulevard, 19th Terrace, College Avenue and 22nd Street on the west and south
and the alley next west of Indiana Avenue on the east from District URD (Urban
Redevelopment District) to District R-2b (Two-Family Dwellings). (11745-P-1)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF
KANSAS CITY:
Section A. That Chapter 80, Code of
Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, 1996, commonly known as the
Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to be known as
Section 80-11A0126, rezoning an area of approximately 19 acres generally
bounded by 19th Street on the north, Benton Boulevard, 19th Terrace, College
Avenue and 22nd Street on the west and south and the alley next west of Indiana
Avenue on the east from District URD (Urban Redevelopment District) to District
R-2b (Two-Family Dwellings), said section to read as follows:
Section 80-11A0126. That an area
legally described as:
The north 12 feet of Lot
17 and all Lots 18-29, Block 1, and all Lots 1-15 and Lots 28-40, Block 2, and
the south 12.34 feet of Lot 4 and all Lots 5-8 and the portion of Lot 9 north
of the north right of way line of 19th Terrace as now established, Block 3, all
in Grahams Addition, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri,
and all Lots 11-12, Preston Place 2nd Plat, a subdivision in Kansas City,
Jackson County, Missouri, and all Lots 1-27, Block 2, P. A. Fredericks 3rd
Addition, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and all Lots
1-22, Block 2, Kingston Place, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County,
Missouri, and the east 20.97 feet of Lot 1 and all Lots 2-13 and the east 20.97
feet of Lot 19 and all Lots 20-31 and the west 8.33 feet of Lot 32, Block 2,
and all Lots 7-13 and all Lots 25-31, Block 3, all in Walnut Grove, a
subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and all Lots 14-25,
Andrews 1st Addition, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri,
and all Lots 7-11 and the east 1/2 of the vacated alley lying west and
adjacent, and all Lots 18-22 and the east 1/2 of the vacated alley lying west
and adjacent, Scheibe Place, a subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County,
Missouri, and all Lots 14-19 and all Lots 33-38, Calkins Addition, a
subdivision in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.
is hereby rezoned from District URD (Urban
Redevelopment District) to District R-2b (Two-Family Dwellings), all as shown
outlined on a map marked Section 80-11A0126, which is attached hereto and made
a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the
zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section
80-11 thereof.
Section B. That the Council finds
and declares that before taking any action on the proposed amendment
hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance
have been given and had.
