ORDINANCE NO. 001260

 

Authorizing execution of a $303,000.00 Cooperative Agreement with the Full Employment Council, the Pan-Educational Institute and the Jackson County Prosecutors Office that will expand the Sentenced to the Arts Program to at-risk youth and provide internships for youth.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of the Department of Neighborhood and Community Services is hereby authorized to execute a Cooperative Agreement with the Full Employment Council, the Pan-Educational Institute and the Jackson County Prosecutors Office, in the amount of $303,000.00, for the purpose of expanding the Sentenced to the Arts Program to at-risk youth and provide 90 internships for youth with artists, artist groups and art organizations to be paid from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 01-284-057-2091-B, Summer Youth Enrichment. A copy of the Cooperative Agreement, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.

 

Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to file a copy of this ordinance, together with the Cooperative Agreement, with the Office of the Secretary of State of Missouri and with the Department of Records of Jackson County, Missouri.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
