ORDINANCE NO. 940071
Authorizing a $50,978.00 contract with Daniels
Construction Company for reconstructing curbs and sidewalks along East 60th
Terrace from Westridge to the Raytown city limits and authorizing the expenditure
of $62,897.00 for the project.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the work of reconstructing portland
cement concrete sidewalks, curbs, driveway entrances and appurtenances, all
along East 60th Terrace from Westridge to Raytown city limits, as part of the
Public Improvements Tax Year 9 and 10 Projects in Council District 5, Kansas
City, Jackson County, Missouri, Project No. 6531, is hereby provided for and
authorized.
Section 2. That the work shall be done in
accordance with the plans, specifications and the contract therefore between
Kansas City, Missouri, through its Director of Public Works, and Daniels
Construction Company, an individual, in the amount of $50,978.00, which
contract is hereby approved and confirmed. A copy of the contract is on file
in the office of the Director of Public Works and is incorporated herein by
reference.
Section 3. That the Director of Public Works is
hereby authorized to expend the sum of $62,897.00 from funds heretofore
appropriated to Account No. 94-309-089-6504T as and for consideration in the
aforesaid contract and engineering, administration and inspection in connection
therewith.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise
unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing
expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in
the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each
sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
