COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 990292

 

Accepting and approving a ten month $314,557.00 amended contract with the Missouri Department of Health to provide funding for maternal and child health services; increasing revenue in the General Fund in the amount of $78,316.00; reducing revenue in the General Fund in the amount of $92,095.00; increasing appropriations in the General Fund in the amount of $33,930.00; reducing appropriations in the General Fund in the amount of $47,709.00; and recognizing an emergency.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That a contract amendment between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and the Missouri Department of Health, acting through its Director of Administration, whereby the State will provide funding for maternal and child health services for the period of December 1, 1998 through September 30, 1999, for an amount not to exceed $314,557.00, is hereby accepted and approved. A copy of the amended contract, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

 

Section 2. That the revenues in the following accounts of the General Fund are hereby increased by the following amounts:

 

99-100-050-7419 98 Infant Mortality Reduction $29,870.00

99-100-050-7379 98 High Risk Infant Follow-up - MCH 12,891.00

99-100-050-7275 98 MCH Outreach 6,495.00

99-100-050-7250 99 MCH Information 29,060.00

TOTAL $78,316.00

 

Section 3. That the revenues in the following accounts of the General Fund are hereby reduced by the following amounts:

 

99-100-050-7420 99 Infant Mortality Reduction $25,000.00

99-100-050-7375 99 High Risk Infant Follow-up - MCH 59,462.00

99-100-050-7271 99 MCH Outreach 7,633.00

TOTAL $92,095.00

 

Section 4. That the appropriations in the following accounts of the General Fund are hereby increased by the following amounts:

 

99-100-050-2141-B Infant Mortality Reduction $ 4,870.00

99-100-050-2190-B MCH Information Management 29,060.00

TOTAL $33,930.00

 


Section 5. That the appropriations in the following accounts of the General Fund are hereby reduced by the following amounts:

99-100-050-2142-A High Risk - MCH $46,571.00

99-100-050-2191-A MCH Outreach 1,138.00

TOTAL $47,709.00

 

Section 6. That this ordinance, making provision for the current expenses of the municipal government, is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Section 15, Article II of the Charter of Kansas City, and shall take effect immediately upon passage.
