ORDINANCE NO. 160371

 

Authorizing the Director of General Services to execute a one-year lease agreement with four one-year renewals with the Kansas City Community Gardens, Inc., for the purpose of a community garden and related activities at the Municipal Farm located at 8100 Ozark Road in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of General Services Department is authorized to execute a lease agreement with Kansas City Community Gardens, Inc., for the purpose of a community garden and related activities for a period of one year effective as of May 1, 2016 and ending April 29, 2017 and four one-year renewal options. Such lease is for approximately one acre and is located generally at the Municipal Farm with an address of 8100 Ozark Road in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri. The specific leasehold area will be determined by the Director, and designated by a legal description certified by a State of Missouri registered surveyor. The form of lease as signed will be controlling, and with the express authorization given to the Director to modify, amend and extend the terms and conditions of such lease for community garden purposes as deemed appropriate by the Director due to circumstances as may arise. A copy of the lease agreement is on file in the General Services Department.
