RESOLUTION NO. 951230

 

Directing the City Manager to conduct a study on the Drug Interdiction Program in the Kansas City area and report the findings to the City Council within sixty (60) days.

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the City Manager is hereby directed to conduct a study on the financial expenditures and current efforts of local area law enforcement with respect to drug interdiction. Said study should focus on the efforts to intercept illegal drugs as they are transported for distribution in Kansas City through local ports of entry including airports, interstate trucking, railroads, buses and the U. S. mail. After said study, the Manager is directed to make appropriate recommendations for any needed improvements by law enforcement agencies in this area.

 

Section 2. That the City Manager is directed to report the findings of the study to the City Council within sixty (60) days.
