RESOLUTION NO. 971239

 

Honoring Eddie Finner, General Supervisor, for the Public Works Department, Street and Traffic Division, for his 46 years and 9 months of professionalism, dedication and leadership to the Traffic Signs and Markings Section.

 

WHEREAS, since Eddie Finner began his career with the City of Kansas City, Missouri, on November 6, 1950, Eddie Finner has worked in the Traffic Department, Transportation Department and the Public Works Department, where he performed his job duties and responsibilities in an exceptional manner; and

 

WHEREAS, his devotion and commitment to his official duties, his determination to serve others and his pleasant work demeanor have been valued by everyone who has had the pleasure to work with Eddie Finner; and

 

WHEREAS, Eddie Finner is retiring from the City of Kansas City, Missouri, and will have the opportunity to spend time with his lovely wife, Odessa, their 11 children, 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, who have all been supportive of him throughout his long career with the City of Kansas City, Missouri; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

That the Mayor and Council hereby honor and commend Eddie Finner for his 46 plus years of dedicated professional services to the City; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and a copy hereof be presented to Eddie Finner in token of the appreciation of the Mayor and Council for a job well done.
