ORDINANCE NO. 090417

 

Reducing the appropriation in an account in the Capital Improvements Fund by $456,000.00; appropriating that amount to the Traffic Signal and Intersection Improvements at 107th and Blue Ridge Boulevard account; authorizing a $561,202.48 contract with Leath and Sons, Inc., for Project Nos. 89004421 and 80001157 - Traffic Signal and Intersection Improvements at 107th and Blue Ridge Boulevard; authorizing the City Manager to amend and increase this contract by up to $84,180.37 without further City Council approval; and authorizing the City Manager to expend $645,382.85 for the contract. 

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the appropriation in the following account of the Capital Improvements Fund is hereby reduced in the following amount:

 

10-3090- 897731-89004421-B 107TH & Blue Ridge Blvd $456,000.00

 

Section 2. That the sum of $456,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Capital Improvements Fund to the following account:

 

10-3090-898820-89004421-B 107th and Blue Ridge Blvd $456,000.00

 

Section 3. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the City, a $561,202.48 contract with Leath and Sons, Inc., for Project Nos. 89004421 and 80001157 - Traffic Signal and Intersection Improvements at 107th and Blue Ridge Boulevard Fed No. STP-3335 (406) in Kansas City, Missouri, Jackson County, Council District 6. A copy of the contract is on file in the Capital Improvements Management Office.

 

Section 4. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to amend this contract and to increase the amount of the contract in an amount not to exceed $84,180.37 without further City Council approval.

 

Section 5. That the City Manager is authorized to expend the sum of $645,382.85 from funds previously appropriated to the followings accounts:

 

10-3090-898820-B 107th and Blue Ridge Blvd $456,000.00

AL-8069-808086-B 107th and Blue Ridge Blvd 53,500.69

AL-3391-898847-B 107th and Blue Ridge Blvd 135,882.16

$645,382.85

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
