ORDINANCE NO. 050859

 

Accepting a report on the actual expenditures by the Port Authority of Kansas City, Missouri, in the amount of $1,438,914.00 for Fiscal Year 2005; approving proposed expenditures by the Port Authority of Kansas City, Missouri, in the amount of $720,000.00, for the Fiscal Year 2006 representing proceeds received under a sublease agreement for the Isle of Capri Casino site.

 

WHEREAS, on May 14, 1993, the City of Kansas City, Missouri and the Port Authority of Kansas City, Missouri, entered into the Kansas City Riverfront Lease Agreement (approved by Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 930083, As Amended), which was first amended on September 30, 1994 (approved by Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 940931) and second amended on August 21, 1995 (approved by Ordinance No. 950964), pursuant to which the City leased certain riverfront property to the Port Authority;

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That Director of City Development hereby accepts and approves the following expenditure budget that was incurred by the Port Authority of Kansas City, Missouri, during Fiscal Year 2004-2005. A summary of the budget is as follows:

Riverfront West -- Maintenance & Security 15,101

Riverfront West -- River Bank Slope Stabilization, Design/Engineering 70,844

Riverfront West -- River Bank Slope Stabilization, Construction 250,000

Riverfront West -- Interpretive Center Design & Educational Programming 52,300

Riverfront Heritage Trail -- Construction 171,000

Friends of the River -- Kansas City 59,883

Riverfront Development Site -- Master Developer Negotiations, Marketing 79,115

Section 2. That the Director of City Development hereby authorizes and approves the following expenditure budget of the Port Authority of Kansas City, Missouri, for Fiscal Year 2005-2006, which is contingent upon proceeds from the sublease of the Isle of Capri Casino (formerly Flamingo Casino) site:
