ORDINANCE NO. 090134

 

Authorizing the Director of the City Development Department to execute an easement conveyance between the City of Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas City Power and Light Company for the relocation, construction, and maintenance of electrical infrastructure on City-owned property shared by the Glen J. Hopkins Secondary Waste Water Treatment Plant at 7600 E. Front Street and the proposed Kansas City Vehicle Impound Facility at 7750 E. Front Street.

WHEREAS, it has been determined that an easement is necessary to relocate, construct, and maintain electrical infrastructure on, over, across and under City owned property generally located at 7600 and 7750 East Front Street, Kansas City, Missouri; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of the City Development Department is hereby authorized to execute an agreement granting an easement to the Kansas City Power and Light Company on, over, across and under City owned property in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, said property shared by the Glen J. Hopkins Secondary Waste Water Treatment Plant at 7600 E. Front Street and the proposed Kansas City Vehicle Impound Facility at 7750 E. Front Street. The easement is described as follows:

Three tracts of land 10 feet in width, located in and being a part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 19, Township 50 North, Range 32 West, and the Northwest Quarter of Section 30, Township 50 North, Range 32 West, Jackson County, Missouri, the centerlines of which are described as follows:

 

Tract 1: Commencing at the Southeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of Section 19, Township 50 North, Range 32 West; thence N 87 degrees 41 minutes 49 seconds W a distance of 1005.06 feet to the Point of Beginning of the said centerline of the 10 foot wide tract of land herein conveyed; thence N 02 degrees 09 minutes 07 seconds E a distance of 624.45 feet; thence N 01 degrees 29 minutes 19 seconds E a distance of 642.82 feet; thence S 68 degrees 44 minutes 07 seconds W a distance of 144.76 feet to the northerly Point of Termination; and

 

Tract 2: Commencing at the Northeast corner of the Northwest Quarter of Section 30, Township 50 North, Range 32 West; thence N 87 degrees 41 minutes 49 seconds W a distance of 1005.06 feet to the Point of Beginning of the said centerline of the 10 foot wide tract of land herein conveyed; said point also being the Point of Beginning for Tract 1; thence S 02 degrees 09 minutes 07 seconds W a distance of 611.32 feet; thence S 08 degrees 12 minutes 03 seconds W a distance of 206.11 feet; thence S 00 degrees 21 minutes 42 seconds W a distance of 396.11 feet to the southerly Point of Termination; and

 

Tract 3: Commencing at the Southeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of Section 19, Township 50 North, Range 32 West; thence N 55 degrees 10 minutes 10 seconds W a distance of 1183.38 feet; thence N 00 degrees 38 minutes 55 seconds E a distance of 629.20 feet to the Point of Beginning of the said centerline of the 10 foot wide tract of land herein conveyed; thence N 00 degrees 38 minutes 55 seconds E a distance of 25.00 feet to the northerly Point of Termination.

Section 2. That the Council pursuant to the enactment of this ordinance does hereby approve said easement conveyance.

Section 3. That upon full execution of the easement and the filing and recording there of with the appropriate County, this easement is accepted by the City of Kansas City, Missouri.
