Judy Hadley,Regulated Industries, explained the purpose of the ordinance. Councilman Glover described the changes to restrictions. The following persons testified in support of the ordinance: Victor Shumate, ElMiramar Restaurant, 904 Southwest Blvd. Pedro Expino, Cafe Expresso, 723 Southwest Blvd. Lynda Callon, Westside CAN Center, 2136 Jefferson Judy Hadley and Councilman Glover answered questions about the section of the ordinance regarding noise control.

 Presentation by Alcohol Beverage Oversight Committee on citizen liquor review process. Judy Hadley, Regulated Industries, introduced Victor Cook, Regulated Industries, who distributed handouts on Oversight Committee and proposed committee by-laws. Mr. Cook guided the committee through the handout describing the Oversight Committee structure and the oversight process. Councilman Glover expressed a need for prodecures of calling a neighbor meeting stating that the place should not be at Regulated Industries. Presidents of surrounding neighborhood associations should be notified and the meeting held at a time and place covenient to the neighborhood presidents.
