RESOLUTION - Determining that the Americana Hotel Tax Increment Financing Plan is making satisfactory progress under the proposed time schedule for completion of the projects therein. 


PLANNING, ZONING & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE recommends "IMMEDIATE ADOPTION"
Missy Wilson, EDC, gave a report regarding the 10 year update of the Americana Hotel TIF that is making satisfactory progress. There were no changes in the distribution of funs and there were no issues to speak of.

Larry Stice,City Planning, explained that this ordinance is for the vacating of alleys near 24th Terrace and 25th St. Sassain Bohon, representative for the University of Missouri Kansas City. He explained that UMKC will be using this property as a temporary parking lot for a new building under construction. There had been no opposition for the neighborhood.

There was no staff report for this ordinance. It was the consensus of the committee that the ordinance directing the City Manager to initiate a proceeding to determine whether Martha Truman Road between State Line Road and Wornall Road be removed from the Major Street Plan. There had been lenghthy discussion previously and the committee moved to advance the ordinance.

John Eckardt, City Planning, and the applicant Scott Gillinham both commented on that the ordinances were related to the zoning for 82 acres of land located near 85th Terrace and Northeast 92th St. It would allow 216 single family homes to be constructed. He added that the companion ordinance 050302 addressed the same general area but would create the Community Unit Project. There was no additional comments are public testimony.
