RESOLUTION - Supporting the efforts of the Kansas City Area Rock Island Corridor Coalition to protect the Old Rock Island Railroad corridor for trail and future transit use and agreeing to participate as a member of the Kansas City Area Rock Island Corridor Coalition.


TRANSPORTATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE COMMITTEE recommends "BE ADOPTED"
Mayor Funkhouser testified on behalf of this resolution. This ordinance will protect the Old Rock Island Railroad corridor for trail and future use. Handouts are on file in the City Clerk's Office.

Authorizing the execution of a five year Facilities Maintenance Agreement between the City of Kansas City, Missouri and Trabue Industrial Systems at Kansas City International Airport and the expenditure of previously appropriated funds in an amount not to exceed $160,532.00.

Mark VanLoh, Aviation Department, testified on behalf of this ordinance. This proposed ordinance will authorize the execution of Facilities Repaid and Maintenance Agreement with Trabue Industrial Systems at Kansas City International. The Agreement will allow for upgrades to the Eight (8) Cleaver-Brooks Boilers installed and maintained by Trabue since 2000 and for necessary preventive maintenance and repairs.

 The Law Department will present a report issued by the City's Fairness in Construction Board in response to an appeal related to M/WBE issues. Brian Rabineau, Law Department and Jim Mellum, Water Services, gave an update to the Boards response to the appeal regarding the Santa Fe Pump Station Improvements project. The handout is on file in the City Clerk's Office. There may be general discussion regarding current Transportation and Infrastructure issues. Councilman Riley asked for an update in regards to the Green Solutions grant money the City was awarded by the state. Jim Mellum, Water Services, was present to answer questions from the committee.
