Claude Page, City Planning, testified on behalf of this ordinance. This Ordinance follows through on the directions of previous ordinance 101020, and completes the real estate transaction at Richards-Gebaur Surplus Property.

Authorizing the Director of City Development to execute an agreement not to exceed $1,479,751.00 with the Economic Development Loan Corporation to administer the Kansas City Brownfields Revolving Loan Fund Program, capitalized in part with funds made available by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009; and authorizing expenditures of $1,479,751.00 from previously appropriated funds.

Authorizing execution of an amendment to a contract with the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, Missouri by increasing the maximum amount of compensation to $8,706,361.00 for the provision of special services to the City under the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP).

 1. Laura Machala will make a presentation on Active Living and Healthy Eating Development Code Review. Laura Machala gave this presentation to the committee. She reviewed some changes that could be made in the Development Code to align with the Active Living and Healthy Eating standards. 2. There will be discussion of Economic Development Priorities. There was no discussion of Economic Development Priorities. 3. There may be general discussion regarding current Planning, Zoning and Economic Development issues. There was no general discussion. Pursuant to the following subsections of Section 610.021 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, there may be a closed session to discuss: (1) legal matters, litigation, or privileged communications with attorneys, pursuant to subsection 1; (2) real estate, pursuant to subsection 2; (3) personnel, pursuant to subsection 3 and 13; and/or (4) sealed bids or proposals, pursuant to subsection 12. The committee voted unanimously to go into Closed Session at 2:43 pm. The City Clerk's Office now has equipment for the hearing impaired for use with every meeting. To check out the equipment please see the secretary for each committee. Be prepared to leave your Driver's License or State issued Identification Card with the secretary and she will give you the equipment. Upon returning the equipment your license will be returned.
