Travis Kiefer, City Planning, testified on behalf of this ordinance. Steve Callahan, Operation Breakthrough, is in agreement with the conditions within the ordinance. Greg Miles, Wallace Engineering, was present to answer questions from the committee. Sister Berta, Operation Breakthrough, was present to answer questions from the committee. This ordinance will create one commercial lot to allow for daycare facilities with multiple uses. The project is located at E. 31st St and Troost Ave.

Debra Smith, City Planning, testified on behalf of this resolution. This resolution will consider a plan to address both transportation and urban design improvements within the study area. The general boundaries of the planning area are 17th St. to the north, 22nd to 27th St. to the south, The Paseo to the east and Summit Ave to the west. Tom Leavit, 2020 Broadway KCMO, testified in support of this resolution. The committee agreed to hold for one week to get some input from other key groups involved with this project.

Virginia Walsh, City Planning, testified on behalf of this ordinance. The committee took testimony in a previous meeting that had raised some questions to the developer regarding deleted improvements from the plan. The developer agrees to do typical sidewalk improvements, which addresses the concerns of the committee.
