RESOLUTION - Authorizing the Mayor to submit an application in the amount of $250,000.00 to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the competitive reallocation of Community Housing Development Organization funds to provide for energy efficient and environmentally-friendly housing for low-income families, and urging the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to fund the application.


HOUSING COMMITTEE recommends "BE ADOPTED"
Shirley Winn, Housing Administrator, testified on behalf of this resolution. This resolution will authorize the Mayor to submit an application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the reallocation of Community Housing Development Organization funds to provide for energy efficient and environmentally-friendly housing for low income families.

Approving the sale of three parcels of property generally located at 2449 Forest, 2445 Troost and 1111 E. 25th Street in the Beacon Hill Development Project to Beacon Hill Developers for redevelopment purposes and directing the City Clerk to record certain documents.


HOUSING COMMITTEE recommends "ADVANCE AND DO PASS AS A COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE, DEBATE"
Tom Coyle and Shawn Hughes, City Planning, testified on behalf of this ordinance. Dan Messer, Zimmer Properties, and Shirley Winn, Housing Administrator, were present to answer questions from the committee. The sale of lots 2449 Forest, 2445 Troost and 1111 East 25th Street will allow the Beacon Hill Developers, LC to begin construction of the first twelve (12) town home units in the Beacon Hill Redevelopment project area.

 There will be a presentation regarding the Beacon Hill Update.
 
 Dan Messer, Zimmer, gave an update to the committee regarding the Beacon Hill Project. The handouts are on file in the City Clerk's Office.
 
 There will be a presentation regarding the Housing Migration Plan Update.
 
 Tom Coyle, City Planning, and Galen Beaufort, City Attorney, updated the committee regarding the Housing Migration Plan.
 
 There will be a presentation regarding the Kansas City Urban Market Assets (KCUMA) Drilldown Analysis by UMKC Cookingham Institute/Center for Economic Information.
 
 Robin Turner,UMKC, and Dan Melton, Non-Profit Technologies, gave a presentation to the committee regarding the Kansas City Urban Market Assets Drilldown Analysis. The handout is on file in the City Clerk's Office.
 
 There may be a closed session pursuant to Section 610.021(1) and (2) RSMo to discuss legal or real estate matters.
