Authorizing an $832,351.00 Second Amendment to the C&C Group Aviation contract for Access Control and CCTV Systems.


TRANSPORTATION & INFRASTRUCTURE COMMITTEE recommends "ADVANCE AND DO PASS, DEBATE"
Mark VanLoh, Aviation Department, gave the staff report on the Ordinance. This proposed ordinance will authorize the execution of a Second Amendment to the General Services Contract with C&C Group to Maintain Access Control and CCTV Systems at Kansas City International Airport. The Access Control system has over 300 Proximity Card Readers and 38 sensors controlling nearly 300 doors and Gates in the Terminal Complex, with Motion Sensors on all doors. The CCTV system feeds nearly 500 Closed Circuit Televisions into the 28 monitors at the KCI Police Department’s Communication Center for continual security of the Airport Complex

Authorizing a $2,500,000.00 Aviation marketing and advertising contract with Trozzolo Communication Group.


TRANSPORTATION & INFRASTRUCTURE COMMITTEE recommends "HOLD ON AGENDA (4/16/2015)"
Mrak VanLoh, Aviation Department, gave the staff report on the Ordinance. This proposed ordinance will authorize the execution of a Professional Services Contract with Trozzolo Communications Group for Full-Service Advertising and Marketing Services to Kansas City Aviation Department, including purchasing advertising media. Chairman Johnson informed the Committee that he contacted the City Manager's Office about this contract last Thursday, and he has not yet heard back from them. He stated that he is therefore hesitant to approve the contract until he gets answers to the questions he posed to the City Manager's Office. Therefore he requested that the Ordinance be held for one week.

Extending the term of the current members of the Public Improvements Advisory Committee and establishing a new start date for future members’ terms.


TRANSPORTATION & INFRASTRUCTURE COMMITTEE recommends "HOLD ON AGENDA (4/16/2015)"
Rose Rhodes, City Manager's Office, gave the staff report. This ordinance approves extending the term of the current Public Improvements Advisory Committee (PIAC) in Fiscal Year 2015-2016 PIAC budget; this will allow members to attend the remaining public hearings held and deliberating on Fiscal Year 2016-2017 PIAC budget recommendations. The Committee resolved to hold this Ordinance.

Authorizing an agreement with the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority to provide regular transit services and Share-A-Fare transportation for elderly and disabled residents of Kansas City; and authorizing the expenditure of approximately $53,000,000.00.

Sherri McIntyre, Public Works Department, gave the staff report on the Ordinance. This ordinance will authorize the Director of Public Works to enter into an agreement with KCATA to provide transit services throughout Kansas City, Missouri and transportation for elderly persons and persons with disabilities thru the Share-A-Fare program as well as specialized reverse commute transportation services for residents of Kansas City, Missouri, for a total contract amount not to exceed $52,982,190 for a period of one year beginning May 1, 2015 through April 30, 2016.
