Authorizing a $1,944,000.00 construction contract with Leath & Sons, Inc., for the replacement of water mains in the area of College Avenue to James A. Reed Road, E. 71st Street to E. 80th Terrace; authorizing a maximum expenditure of $2,200,000.00; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.


TRANSPORTATION & INFRASTRUCTURE COMMITTEE recommends "ADVANCE AND DO PASS, DEBATE"
Terry Leeds and Terry Thomas, Water Services, gave a brief overview of water main replacements. This construction project will be performed to replace aging, break prone cast iron pipe and water mains with ductile iron pipe. This work will include the transfer of customer's water service connections from existing mains to new mains, as well as restoration of roads and properties.

This construction project will be performed to replace aging, break prone cast iron pipe and water mains with ductile iron pipe. This work will include the transfer of customer's water service connections from existing mains to new mains, as well as restoration of roads and properties.

 1. There may be a general discussion regarding current Transportation and Infrastructure Committee issues.

 The City Clerk`s Office now has equipment for the hearing impaired for use with every meeting. To check out the equipment please see the secretary for each committee. Be prepared to leave your Driver`s License or State issued Identification Card with the secretary and she will give you the equipment. Upon returning the equipment your license will be returned.
