Approving a $264,116.60 Amendment 2 to a Cooperative Agreement with the Planned Industrial Expansion Authority for construction, coordination, and contract administration of certain storm sewer improvements for the Central Industrial District of Kansas City, Missouri; authorizing the Director of Water Services to expend $264,116.60 for this project; and authorizing the Director of Finance to return unexpended appropriations to the appropriate account therefore.

Jim Mellum, Water Services, Department, testified on behalf of this ordinance. This ordinance would authorize to leave in place the sheet piling that was used to shore the excavation site in stead of removing it. Originally this shoring was to be removed and returned to the supplier, however due to conditions experienced during installation, the recommendation was made to leave things in place.

Condemning and taking permanent and temporary storm drainage easements on private property for the construction of a storm water improvement for the property of Coventry 2nd Addition and Strathbury Woods, located near N. Strathbury Avenue, in Kansas City, Platte County, Missouri, and providing for the just compensation therefor, and authorizing negotiations by the Director of the City Development Department, all in Kansas City, Platte County, Missouri.

John Aldergott, Law Department, testified on behalf of this ordinance. This ordiance would authorize the replacement of six existing rooftop air-handling units with custom-fabricated units. The installation utilizing the existing rooftops.

Authorizing various traffic signal modifications; reducing an appropriation in the amount of $241,000.00 in the Motor Fuel Tax Fund; estimating revenue in the amount of $162,800.00 in the Motor Fuel Tax Fund; appropriating the sum of $403,800.00 from the Unappropriated Fund Balance to various accounts in the Motor Fuel Tax Fund; and designating requisitioning authority.

Inc.; authorizing the Director of Public Works to amend and increase this contract by up to $496,850.00; authorizing the City Manager to expend $5,465,380.00 for the contract and approving the terms and conditions of the contract.

Authorizing the City Manager to execute a Property Owners’ Allocation of Rights and Duties with the Tax Increment Financing Commission of Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas City Live, LLC, granting Kansas City Live, LLC the right to allow sidewalk businesses, banners and encroachments as well as the right to close certain streets within the Kansas City Live Project area.

Authorizing the Director of Public Works to execute a $1,055,000.00 Contract with Jenkins and Associates for the North Satellite Service Center, transferring appropriations in the 2004F GO Bond Fund, authorizing the City Manager to expend $1,113,200.00 from appropriated funds, and transferring $10,550.00 to the Public Art Fund.
