Amending Ordinance No. 120040, As Amended by repealing Sections 1 and 2 and enacting in its place new Sections 1 and 2; and approving and authorizing the Director of City Development to enter into a subgrant agreement with Ivanhome, a Missouri non-profit corporation, in the amount of $378,128.00 to fund authorized abatement activities at the Horace Mann School building located at 2008 E. 39th Street, Kansas City, Missouri.

Andrew Bracker, City Planning, testified on behalf of this ordinance. Margaret May, Ivanhome, was present to answer questions from the committee. This ordinance approves an application by Ivanhome, a Missouri not for profit corporation, for two City subgrants totaling $378,128 of federal brownfield grant funds for abatement of contaminants and removal of debris from the Horace Mann School, located at 2008 E. 39th St. Testimony: Councilwoman Curls Councilman Reed

 1. There will be discussion of Economic Development Priorities. There was no discussion of Economic Development Priorities. 2. There may be general discussion regarding current Planning, Zoning and Economic Development issues. There was no general discussion. Pursuant to the following subsections of Section 610.021 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, there may be a closed session to discuss: (1) legal matters, litigation, or privileged communications with attorneys, pursuant to subsection 1; (2) real estate, pursuant to subsection 2; (3) personnel, pursuant to subsection 3 and 13; and/or (4) sealed bids or proposals, pursuant to subsection 12. There was no Closed Session. The City Clerk's Office now has equipment for the hearing impaired for use with every meeting. To check out the equipment please see the secretary for each committee.
