Dale Woodworth, Kansas City Fire Department, spoke briefly that the ordinance provides funds to help improve the timeliness of crime scene processing through the Kansas City Police Crime Laboratory.

NEIGHBORHOODS AND PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE recommends "ADVANCE AND DO PASS, DEBATE"
Dale Woodworth, Kansas City Police Department spoke briefly that the ordinance provides funding to help Kansas City reduce DWI, driving while intoxicated and related offenses. The Missouri Department of Highway Safety will provide funds for salaries, equipment, travel, training and transportation for the Kansas City Police Department. The Missouri Department of Highway Safety is providing funds for salaries, equipment, travel/training and a vehicle.

 Consideration of the Semi Annual Docket items-180252
 
 1. Staff from Kansas City Fire Department will give an update on Response Times and EMS Collections.
 
 Deputy Chief Tom Collins and Division Chief Chuck Zang, Kansas City Fire Department, gave a brief update of the following: emergency response times, summary map supplement of emergency response time city wide, and the medical bureau ambulance revenue payments received for the month of November 2018. An electronic copy of this presentation can be obtained in the City Clerk's Office.
 
 2. There may be a general discussion regarding current Neighborhoods and Public Safety issues.
 
 3. Pursuant to the following subsections of Section 610.021 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, there may be a closed session to discuss: (1) legal matters, litigation, or privileged communications with attorneys, pursuant to subsection 1; (2) real estate, pursuant to subsection 2; (3) personnel, pursuant to subsection 3 and 13; and/or (4) sealed bids or proposals, pursuant to subsection 12.
 
 The City Clerk`s Office now has equipment for the hearing impaired for use with every meeting. To check out the equipment please see the secretary for each committee. Be prepared to leave your Driver`s License or State issued Identification Card with the secretary and she will give you the equipment. Upon returning the equipment your license will be returned.
