Authorizing a five year lease with VML, Inc. at the Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport.


AVIATION COMMITTEE recommends "DO PASS"
Mark VanLoh, Director of Aviation, stated that this ordinance would allow the department to enter into a lease agreement with VML, Inc for five years with three three-year extensions. The company is an advertising company and has expanded its operation since first moving into their current facility. The company plans to expand further over the next few years.

Authorizing a Lease Agreement with MCI Fuel Company, LLC at the Kansas City International Airport.


AVIATION COMMITTEE recommends "DO PASS"
Mark VanLoh, Director of Aviation, indicated that the ordinance in question dealt with leasing farm area to MCI Fuel, LLC for a period of twenty years. The airlines at KCI formed a LLC, which provides fuel to the airlines at KCI. The City of Kansas City, Missouri does not perform this service. The airlines bid out this service but they did negotiate with the City with regards to capital improvements expected by the City. Mr. VanLoh stated that the City was working with Homeland Security to make sure the proper procedures were being followed with regards to the operation of this facility.

This item was placed on the semi-annual docket. This is a duplicate ordinance request.

 Consideration of Semi-Annual Docket items. The committee voted to release ordinance no. 041400 from the Semi-Annual docket. There will be a general discussion of current Aviation issues. No addition issues were discussed.
