Authorizing a $2,028,500.00 Amendment 5 with Burns and McDonnell Engineering Company, Inc., for Contract No. 654, Brookside Storm Sewer Improvement Study; authorizing the Director of Water Services to expend $2,028,500.00 for design of Phase 5 of the project; and authorizing the Director of Finance to return unexpended appropriations to the appropriate account.

Jim Mellum, Water Services, testified on behalf of this project. This ordinance would authorize a contract for a Brookside Storm drainage improvements study. This is design phase five (5) of the project.

Transferring appropriations between business units by reducing certain appropriations in the Public Safety Sales Tax Fund; and appropriating $426,757.00 to the Shoal Creek Patrol Station account.

Condemning and taking street, permanent, and temporary right-of-way on private properties for the construction and maintenance of bridge, on N. Brighton Avenue south of NE 55th Street Terrace, over Mill Creek, all in Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, providing for the payment of just compensation therefore; authorizing continued negotiations by the City of Kansas City; consenting to the filing of the petition for condemnation by the City Attorney, on behalf of the City; and authorizing the City Clerk to file this ordinance with the Recorder of Deeds in Clay County, Missouri.

Ted Anderson, CIMO, testified on behalf of this ordinance. This ordinance would authorize the city to condemn and take street, permanent and temporary right-of-way on private properties for the construction and maintenance of a bridge on North Brighton Ave. just south of 55th Street Terrace.

Pat Klein, Budget Office, testified on behalf of this ordinance. This ordinance would reduce the funding in the Capital Improvements funds for the purpose of appropriating it to the Crestwood Neighborhood Improvement account.
