Authorizing the Manager of Procurement Services to execute a seven (7) year contract with WCA of Missouri, LLC for curbside recycling collection and processing; and authorizing the Manager of Procurement Services to further amend the contract and exercise three (3) additional one-year renewal options.

Michael Shaw, NHSD Solid Waste, Testified on this ordinance. The contractor will provide collection and processing of recycling from eligible residential homes in the Northland and Southland. This contract also allows for processing of recycling collected by City crews from eligible residential homes in the Central City. The contract also allows for the City flexibility to change services to every other week recycling and/or recycling carts. The contract provides for revenue sharing on recycling as well. With annual increases in house counts and the recycling markets, processing costs we will experience annual cost fluctuations

Amending Chapter 2, Code of Ordinances, Classification and Compensation Plan, by amending Section 2-1081 to authorize the salary for the Elective Judges of Municipal Court and establishing an effective date.

Terry Casey, Human Recourses, testified on this ordinance. This ordinance adjusts the annual salary of the full-time Judges of Municipal Court to $153,957 which is equal the salary of a circuit court judges and adjusts the salary of the Elective Housing Court Judge of Municipal Court to $115,468.

Reducing an appropriation in the amount of $1,040,000.00 in the Capital Improvements Fund; appropriating that amount to the Convention Center Garage account; authorizing a $537,000.00 Owner’s Representative Services Amendment No. 2 to Contract No. 07-AR1902 with CBC Real Estate Group, LLC related to the programming, design and reconstruction of the Auditorium Plaza Garage and Barney Allis Plaza Event Space; authorizing contract amendments; approving the proposed program for the project; providing for a construction trades training program; declaring the intent of the City to reimburse itself from the bond proceeds for certain expenditures; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.

 The City Clerk`s Office now has equipment for the hearing impaired for use with every meeting. To check out the equipment please see the secretary for each committee. Be prepared to leave your Driver`s License or State issued Identification Card with the secretary and she will give you the equipment. Upon returning the equipment your license will be returned.
