Ralph Davis, Public Works testified the $400,000.00 appropriation will be used for the following traffic signal projects. Recently, the bid prices increased substantially for the traffic signal Staff x For projects. 20% of the city match is insufficient. Truman Road ATMS Fiber between Charlotte and Winchester. Cleaver II Blvd ATMS Fiber between Benton and 35th St. Broadway Pedestrian Signal at 3217 Broadway. 39th Street ATMS Fiber between Main and Troost. 63rd Street ATMS Fiber between Wornall and Rockhill. Barry Road ATMS Fiber between N. Troost and NW Waukomis.

Approving various Traffic Regulations in compliance with Chapter 70 of the Code of Ordinances.

Ralph Davis, Public Works, testified these Traffic Regulations have been published and tested for a ninety day period in accordance with Sections 70-38 (b) and (c) of the Traffic Code. This Ordinance will make these Regulations permanent.

Authorizing condemnation and taking of private property, in fee simple, for public use for street right of way purposes and permanent water line easements for the construction, location and maintenance of the KCI Area TIF Project 7B N.W. Old Tiffany Springs Road, Project No. 89008252, from N. Hull Avenue to N. Green Hills Road, in Kansas City, Platte County, Missouri; providing for the payment of just compensation therefore; authorizing continued negotiations and purchase by the Director of the Department of Public Works; authorizing the filing of the petition for condemnation by the City Attorney on behalf of the City; and directing the City Clerk to cause this ordinance to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of Deeds for Platte County, Missouri.

 1. There will be a Citywide Business plan update.
 
 Pat Klein, Assistant City Manager provided an overview of the Citywide Business Plan including departmental strategic objectives, 2014 - 2015 Citizen Priorities, as well as Top Citizen priorities for Public Works and Public Transportation. Mr. Klein also reviewed actual measures of success for Fiscal Year 15 as well as target goals for Fiscal Year 16. A copy of the presentation is on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
 
 2. There will be a presentation on bicycling in the city.
 
 Deb Ridgeway, Bicycle Pedestrian Coordinator provided a history of the Bicycle Pedestrian Program. Reviewed adopted plans, first steps, Resolutions and BPAC recommendations. Ms. Ridgeway also reviewed where we are today, the Bike KC Master Plan, and future Bikeway Projects. A copy of the presentation is on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
 
 3. Staff from the City Auditor's Office will present a Scope Statement: Impact of Street Plate Installations on Ride Quality and Safety.
 
 Doug Jones, City Auditor presented a Scope Statement of the Street plate installation Audit. Mr. Jones explained when his office will be doing the audit, the objectives of the audit, the work that will be completed during the audit and when he anticipates being back with a report. A copy of the presentation is on file in the City Clerk's Office.
 
 4. There may be general discussion(s) on current Transportation and Infrastructure Committee issues.
 
 5. Pursuant to the following subsections of Section 610.021 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, there may be a closed session to discuss: (1) legal matters, litigation, or privileged communications with attorneys, pursuant to subsection 1; (2) real estate, pursuant to subsection 2; (3) personnel, pursuant to subsection 3 and 13; and/or (4) sealed bids or proposals, pursuant to subsection 12.
 
 The City Clerk`s Office now has equipment for the hearing impaired for use with every meeting. To check out the equipment please see the secretary for each committee. Be prepared to leave your Driver`s License or State issued Identification Card with the secretary and she will give you the equipment. Upon returning the equipment your license will be returned.
