PLANNING, ZONING & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE recommends "HOLD ON AGENDA (9/26/2012)"
Bob Langenkamp requested that this be held one more week.

Gloria Fisher, Westside Housing, will discuss the West Switzer school redevelopment. This discussion did not occur. There may be discussion of Economic Development Priorities. There may be general discussion regarding current Planning, Zoning and Economic Development issues. Councilman Ford infomed the council the reason that the Weside Housing presentation didn't happen today because the MHDC Board has stated that the recommendations made by the Council last year didn't have as much bearing as one recommendation letter from the Mayor in the past. The process is going back to the Mayor's Office vetting the applications for this program and if the council have a project that they support to let the Mayor's Office know. AdvanceKC resolution will be introduced on Thursday, and this will be referred to this committee. He encouraged the committee to take a look at the documents regarding this ordinance. Bob Langenkamp has begun having individual meetings with council to explain the program. Pursuant to the following subsections of Section 610.021 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, there may be a closed session to discuss: (1) legal matters, litigation, or privileged communications with attorneys, pursuant to subsection 1; (2) real estate, pursuant to subsection 2; (3) personnel, pursuant to subsection 3 and 13; and/or (4) sealed bids or proposals, pursuant to subsection 12. The City Clerk's Office now has equipment for the hearing impaired for use with every meeting. To check out the equipment please see the secretary for each committee. Be prepared to leave your Driver's License or State issued Identification Card with the secretary and she will give you the equipment. Upon returning the equipment your license will be returned.
