Authorizing a four-year $1,600,000.00 agreement with Kansas City Transportation Group for terminal project worker bus service at Kansas City International Airport; and authorizing the expenditure of previously appropriated funds.

Pete Fullerton, Aviation Department, testified that this ordinance will authorize execution of a four year, General Service Agreement with WHC KCL, LLC dba Kansas City Transportation Group for bus service to transport contractors on the Terminal Project at Kansas City International Airport, from the worker parking area to the project site. This contract is to operate terminal contractor worker bus service that operates continuously between the hours of 5:30 am - 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday from the designated parking area to the terminal construction site. The purchase of four buses are anticipated to run continuously throughout the day. For an electronic version of this presentation can be obtained from the City Clerk's Office.

Stating City Council support for improvements to the US 169 Overpass for Segment 10 of the Route 152 Trail; and directing the City Manager to work with the Missouri Department of Transportation to prepare applications for the MoDOT Partnership Development Cost Share Program.

Wes Minder, City Manager's Office, gave a brief testimony of the City Council's support for improvements to the US 169 Overpass for Segment 10 of the Route 152 Trail, and direct the City Manager to work with the Missouri Department of Transportation to prepare applications for the MoDOT Partnership Development Cost Share Program. There is no way for pedestrians to cross US 169 for over three miles. The project will improve and extend the Route 152 Trail across US 169 and provide more access to the multi modal trail system that is being built to connect commercial activity districts to residential areas. There is currently no way for pedestrians to cross US 169 for over three miles. An electronic version of this presentation can be obtained from the City Clerk's Office.
