Bob Long, Economic Development Corporation on behalf of the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority, testified on behalf of the ordinance and answered questions from the committee. Mr. Long explained revisions in the proposed plan eliminating the eminent domain provision and reducing the area impacted by the plan. The Grand McGee Urban Renewal Plan would provide for the rehabilitation of existing deteriorated buildings and the potential construction of new buildings for mixed-uses, including commercial offices, retail space, and residential units. No public testimony.
