(Developer), for the purpose of purchasing homes in the Old Ballpark site project generally located at 21st and Brooklyn.

Harriett Kuehne-Fry stated that the funds from the grant would pay for one advocate position within the Domestic Violence Advocates Office. This is a yearly grant awarded the office.

Authorizing a $30,475.00 contract with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services that provides funding for refugee Health Screening; reestimating revenue in the amount of $17,681.00 in the Governmental Grants Fund; reducing an appropriation in the amount of $2,907.00 in the Governmental Grants Fund; appropriating the sum of $20,589.00 in the Refugee Health Screening accounts of the Governmental Grants Fund; and designating requisitioning authority.

Ron Griffin, Kansas City Health Department, stated that the ordinance would allow the department to accept funds for refugee health screening. This is the second year for receiving funding for that purpose.

Amending Sections 54-1, 54-2, 54-31, and 54-33, Code of Ordinances, dealing with pawnbrokers by allowing the chief of police to designate the means of electronically transferring required information from pawnbrokers to the police; adding incarceration as a potential punishment; removing from the definition of net assets an exception for liabilities secured by assets other than current assets; removing from the definition of person of good moral character a five-year time limitation on convictions; removing a requirement that sureties to be residents of Kansas City; requiring daily computer entries to be made of persons leaving, selling or purchasing goods; requiring fingerprint identification and photographs for items with no registration or serial numbers; and imposing a $500.00 renewal fee for licenses.
