|Amending Chapter 10, Code of Ordinances, by repealing Sections 10-212, Distance from churches or schools, and 10-337, Package sales licenses; prohibitions and requirements, by enacting in lieu thereof new sections of like number and subject matter adjusting fees and requirements for payment.|
NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING COMMITTEE recommends "ADVANCE AND DO PASS AS A COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE, DEBATE"
Judy Hadley, Regulated Industries, explained the purpose of the ordinance and described the changes to the sections. Ms. Hadley answered questions from the committee regarding the process of reviewing the ordinance by the community. Les Washington, Community Services, responded to comments from the committee regarding neighborhood representation in the review process.

Dennis O'Neil testified in opposition to the ordinance sighting the change in the required distance from churches or schools.
