 1. Staff from the Finance Department will present an update on the budget impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
  • Budget Presentation: Tammy Queen, Kolby Kriznowski, and Nicholas Sarpy, Finance Department, presented. The Novel Coronavirus, COVID-19, has created unprecedented health and economic crisis for Kansas Citians. The Citys goal is to keep the public, especially vulnerable segments, safe while doing everything possible to assist the economic recovery in Kansas City. The Mayor and City Council have been working closely with federal, state, and local officials to address this pandemic and mitigate its impact in Kansas City. The COVID-19 epidemic is a rapidly evolving situation that Mayor Lucas is continuously monitoring. He is committed to acting in the best interest of Kansas City to protect their health and livelihood. The presenters discussed Uncertainty in Major Tax Revenues, Countercyclical Impacts, Changes in Federal policy, and Liquidity in Capital markets.
 
 2. There may be additional general discussion regarding current Finance, Governance and Public Safety issues.
 
 3.  The City Clerk`s Office now has equipment for the hearing impaired for use with every meeting. To check out the equipment please see the secretary for each committee. Be prepared to leave your Driver`s License or State issued Identification Card with the secretary and she will give you the equipment. Upon returning the equipment your license will be returned.
