Samantha Hughes, Health Department gave a brief testimony that this ordinance is for funding from the AIDS United to collaborate on the Center of Disease Control and Prevention and the Capacity Building Assistance for High Impact HIV Prevention Program Integration. HIV Services partners with the following Integrated HIV Activities and Structural Intervention activities as outline in the PS19-1904: Condom Distributions, HIV Partner Service, HIV Prevention Marketing Campaigns and Social marketing Strategies, Integrated HIV Prevention and living skills.

Approving a $2,500,000.00 contract with McCown Gordon Construction to construct the Kansas City Law Enforcement Memorial Garden and appropriating the same amount therefor; estimating revenue in the amount of $850,000.00; reducing certain appropriations by $842,957.60; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.

Eric Bosch, City Architect testified that this ordinance is for the Construction of the Law Enforcement Memorial Garden at the Regional Police Academy and will provide a place families, citizen, visitors and students a memorial in remembrance of fallen officers. It is now ready for construction.

Calling for submission to the voters of Kansas City, at an election to be held on November 5, 2019, a question to remove approximately a 36 acre tract in Hodge Park generally located in the northeast corner of the park off Northeast Shoal Creek Parkway from the park system; directing the City Clerk to notify the responsible election authorities of the election no later than August 27, 2019; and recognizing this ordinance with an accelerated effective date.

Terry Rynard, Parks Department, gave a brief testimony that this ordinance will authorize in the removal of a 36-acre tract the northeast portion of Hodge Park off Northeast Shoal Creek Parkway, This is public use and transfer to the North Kansas City School district for terms and consideration acceptable to the City, in order for the district to build a school due to school population growth, including City of Kansas City, Missouri residents.

 1. Staff from Kansas City Fire Department will give an update on Response Times and EMS Collections.
 
 Deputy Chief Tom Collins and Division Chief Chuck Zang, Kansas City Fire Department, gave a brief update of the following: emergency response times, summary map supplement of emergency response time city wide,the medical bureau ambulance revenue payments received for the month of April 2019, EMS week and distribution of smoke detectors to citizens.
 
 2. There may be a general discussion regarding current Neighborhoods and Public Safety issues.
 
 3. Pursuant to the following subsections of Section 610.021 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, there may be a closed session to discuss: (1) legal matters, litigation, or privileged communications with attorneys, pursuant to subsection 1; (2) real estate, pursuant to subsection 2; (3) personnel, pursuant to subsection 3 and 13; and/or (4) sealed bids or proposals, pursuant to subsection 12.
