Upon Roll Call the following members were present:
 Consideration of the Semi Annual Docket items.

 1. Complete Overview of KCPD – (A year in review) by Major Doug Niemeier.
 Major Doug Niemeier and Police Chief Rick Smith, Kansas City Police Department, gave a brief presentation and update of the crime stats for the city of Kansas City, Missouri, year 2015 to 2018 that includes homicides, aggravated assaults, armed robbery and strongarm robberies. Chief Smith also gave an update of communications and dispatches totaling 1,031,640 total calls received in 2018, 577,423 through the 911 dispatch. Staffing is currently at 96 out of 106 authorized positions, there were 347 applicants processed since August 2017 and 78 applicants currently in process, 4 dispatcher trainees, their training finishes in April A class of 5 new hires for call takers will begins February 11, 2019 with another class scheduled for April 2019.  2. There may be a general discussion regarding current Neighborhoods and Public Safety issues.
 3. Pursuant to the following subsections of Section 610.021 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, there may be a closed session to discuss: (1) legal matters, litigation, or privileged communications with attorneys, pursuant to subsection 1; (2) real estate, pursuant to subsection 2; (3) personnel, pursuant to subsection 3 and 13; and/or (4) sealed bids or proposals, pursuant to subsection 12.
 The City Clerk`s Office now has equipment for the hearing impaired for use with every meeting. To check out the equipment please see the secretary for each committee. Be prepared to leave your Driver`s License or State issued Identification Card with the secretary and she will give you the equipment. Upon returning the equipment your license will be returned.
