Description:
The Neighborhood Development and Housing Committee shall oversee the implementation of policies related to housing, health, public safety, neighborhood improvements, and recommend goals and objectives of the Consolidated Housing & Community Development Plan and other community development-related Federal or State or privately leverage funded housing programs. The committee shall provide a forum for neighborhoods to suggest new initiatives to address neighborhood concerns. Furthermore, the Committee will solicit input from housing stakeholders from the public and private sectors and evaluate the performance of Community Development Corporations (CDC), Housing and Economic Development Financial Corporation (HEDFC) and other agencies performing federally funded activities, and make recommendations regarding contract revisions, enforcement and proposals for funding.
