The Agreement also provided for final engineering designs and bid document preparation for the first two construction contract bids of this program: 1) Rehabilitate Mexico City Ave. and Paris Street 2) Rehabilitate Employee Parking Lot Amendment 1 - Ordinance #080709, effective Aug. 8, 2008 for $246,136, provided for construction inspection and materials testing services for the first two construction contracts awarded by this program. Amendment No. 2 - Ordinance No. 081207 effective 12/28/08 for $402,716.00, required Design Professional to provide rehabilitation design for Terminal A Loop Road. During this design, the decision was made to effect repairs to the Terminal B Loop Road first since it is the busiest terminal and will benefit more travelers. This contract supports our goal to continue to maintain and improve the airport s infrastructure to assure that the airport operates in a safe and efficient manner. This is important to all citizens including the children. How will this contribute to a sustainable Kansas City? The contractor is required to use recycled asphaltic materials in the base course of the new paving of the Terminal B Loop Road.
