ORDINANCE NO. 110205

 

Authorizing the purchase of a parcel of land identified as Tract No. 219 in Kansas City, Platte County, Missouri, for Airport Development, and the expenditure of previously appropriated funds in the amount of $1,000.00, and acceptance of a warranty deed conveying title thereto.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to purchase from Charlene L. Denney, a parcel of land generally known as Tract No. 219, in Kansas City, Platte County, Missouri, for the expansion of the Kansas City International Airport and pay as consideration therefor the sum of $1,000.00

 

Section 2. That the Director of Aviation is hereby authorized to expend the following amount previously appropriated in the following account of the KCI Airports Fund, No. 8300, and deliver said sum to the sellers upon receipt of a Warranty Deed conveying to the City a good merchantable title to said land.

Section 3. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to accept a Warranty Deed, conveying to the City the property identified in Section 1, to execute a written acceptance thereof and is directed to record the deed, acceptance and a copy of this ordinance in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds for Platte County, Missouri.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
