RESOLUTION NO. 110175

 

Honoring Cascone’s Grill for being an outstanding small business in Kansas City for over 50 years.

 

WHEREAS, Cascone’s Grill is located at 17 East 5th Street and has been a staple of the River Market for over 50 years; and

 

WHEREAS, since the 1970’s, Cascone’s Grill is the only surviving restaurant in the River Market area in a 50 yard radius; and

 

WHEREAS, Cascone’s Grill has been a family-owned business since the 1940’s and is currently run by the third Cascone generation, brothers Frank and George; and

 

WHEREAS, Frank and George are active participants in the business’ every day operation and can often be seen on the line with the cooks or mingling with the patrons and regulars of Cascone’s Grill; and

 

WHEREAS, Cascone’s Grill prides itself on its old fashioned values and work ethic; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

That the Mayor and Council hereby honor Cascone’s Grill for being an outstanding small business in Kansas City for over 50 years; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Frank and George Cascone with the best wishes of the Mayor and Council for the continued success of Cascone’s Grill in the River Market.
