ORDINANCE NO. 050173

 

Authorizing a $274,806.00 Third Amendment to Agreement No. 000208 with HDR Consulting Engineers, Inc. for additional engineering design services for Red Bridge Road Bridge and Roadway Improvements from Holmes Road to Blue River Road; authorizing the Director of Public Works to expend $274,806.00 for the project; and appropriating $687.00 to the Youth Employment Fund.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to enter into and execute, on behalf of the City, a $274,806.00 Third Amendment to Agreement No. 000208 with HDR Consulting Engineers, Inc., for additional engineering design services for Red Bridge Road Bridge and roadway improvements from Holmes Road to Blue River Road, in Jackson County, Missouri. A copy of the amendment, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $274,806.00 from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 05-3090-897634-B for the aforesaid amendment.

 

Section 3. That the appropriation in the following account of the Capital Improvement Fund is hereby reduced by the following amount:

 

05-3090-897634-B Red Bridge Improvements $687.00

 

Section 4. That the sum of $687.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Capital Improvement Fund to the following account in the Capital Improvement Fund:

 

05-3090-129998-X Transfer to Youth Employment $687.00

 

Section 5. That the revenue in the following account of the Youth Employment Fund is hereby reestimated in the following additional amount:

 

05-2440-120000-503090 Transfer from Capital Improvement Fund $687.00

 

Section 6. That the sum of $687.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Youth Employment Fund to the following account in the Youth Employment Fund:

 

05-2440-897004-B Quarter Percent for Youth Employment Fund $687.00

 

Section 7. That the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to transfer $687.00 from the Capital Improvement Fund to the Youth Employment Fund.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
