RESOLUTION NO. 120302

 

Honoring Paul Keleti on his retirement after 28 and a half years of dedicated service to the City of Kansas City,

 

WHEREAS, Paul Keleti has served the citizen’s of Kansas City for 28 and a half years, in the Health Department from 1983-84, in Public Works Cost Accounting where he developed and maintained the Departmental Cost Accounting computer systems from 1984-1989, in the Public Works Motor Equipment where he developed and maintained their fleet maintenance, gas dispensing, and billing systems from 1989-91; and

 

WHEREAS, Paul developed and maintained project costs, payroll and billing systems from 1991-2006 in Public Works Engineering, from 2006-08 in Capital Improvement Management Office, and from 2008-12 in Public Works Financial Services; and

 

WHEREAS, as a Public Works employee, Paul was recognized as Supervisor of the Month in 2001-2004 and was Supervisor of the Year in 2004; and

 

WHEREAS, during the PeopleSoft conversion in 2005, Paul converted 22 years and 1.5 billion dollars of Public Works project costs from the Public Works project system to the PeopleSoft project module; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

That the Mayor and Council hereby extend to Paul Keleti, on the occasion of his retirement from City service, the heartiest best wishes for his future, together with appreciation for his 28 and a half years of dedicated service to the citizens of Kansas City, Missouri; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Paul Keleti in token of the Mayor and Council’s respect and high regard for him and their best wishes for the long and happy retirement which he so richly deserves.
