ORDINANCE NO. 120608

 

Authorizing the purchase of parcels of land identified as Tract Nos. 191, 193, 196, and 221 in Kansas City, Platte County, Missouri, for Airport Development; appropriating $350,324.00 to the KC Airports Fund to project 6200LAND; and acceptance of a Special Warranty Deed conveying title thereto.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Aviation is hereby authorized to purchase from Mid-West Land Associates, L.P. (a New York limited partnership) parcels of land generally known as Tract Nos. 191, 193, 196, and 221, in Kansas City, Platte County, Missouri, for the expansion of the Kansas City International Airport and pay as consideration therefore the sum of $350,324.00.

 

Section 2. That $350,324.00 is appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of Fund 8300, KC Airports Fund, to the following account:

13-8300-627270-E-6200LAND KCI Land Acquisition $ 350,324.00

 

Section 3. That the Director of Aviation is hereby authorized to accept a Special Warranty Deed conveying to the City the property identified in Section 1, to execute a written acceptance thereof and is directed to record the deed, acceptance and a copy of this ordinance in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds for Platte County, Missouri.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
