ORDINANCE NO. 090448

Estimating revenue in the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program account in the Special Housing Rehabilitation Loan Fund in the amount of $120,197.00; appropriating $48,383.30 in the Special Housing Rehabilitation Loan Fund for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program; designating requisitioning authority; and declaring an emergency.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

  Section 1. That revenue in the following account of the Special Housing Rehabilitation Loan Fund is estimated by the following amount:

10-6380-550001-476055 LIHEAP HOME Weatherization Grant $120,197.00 

Section 2. That $48,383.30 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Special Housing Rehabilitation Loan Fund to the following accounts:

10-6380-555400-A Home Weatherization LIHEAP $ 3,500.00

10-6380-555400-B Home Weatherization LIHEAP 43,883.30

10-6380-555400-C Home Weatherization LIHEAP 1,000.00

TOTAL $ 48,383.30

 Section 3. That the Acting Director of the Housing and Community Development is designated as requisitioning authority for Account No. 10-6380-555400.

Section 4. That this ordinance is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Section 503 of the City Charter in that it appropriates money, and shall take effect in accordance with that section.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
