Ordinance 950647

 

Authorizing the Director of Health to enter into an agreement with the Metropolitan Ambulance Services Trust for the provision of ambulance service to the Kansas City International Airport for one year beginning May 1, 1995, in the amount of $390,014, and recognizing an emergency.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Health is authorized to enter into an agreement, in a form substantially as that of the attached Exhibit A, on behalf of the City, with the Metropolitan Ambulance Services Trust, for the provision of a dedicated ambulance for the Kansas City International Airport for one year beginning May 1, 1995.

 

Section 2. That the sum of $390,014.00, to be paid to the Metropolitan Ambulance Services Trust during the one year period, from funds appropriated to the following accounts, is approved:

 

96-100-051-2141-B General Fund $137,244.00 96-821-062-2310-B KCI Airport Safety $252,770.00

 

TOTAL $390,104.00

 

Section 3. That this ordinance, making provisions for the expenditure of funds in connection with the preservation of the public health, is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Article II, Section 15 of the Charter of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, and shall take effect immediately upon passage.

 

 

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
