ORDINANCE NO. 120766

 

Authorizing the Director of Neighborhood and Housing Services to execute an amendment to the contract with Kansas City Pet Project that will allow the Director to sign any remaining renewal options and modify the scope where no additional compensation will be required.

WHEREAS, the City Council passed Ordinance No. 110792 on November 3, 2011, which authorized the execution of a contract with the Kansas City Pet Project for the operation of the animal shelter; and  

WHEREAS, the City Council desires to further amend the contract to allow the Director of Neighborhood and Housing Services authority to sign any renewals authorized by the contract and, when additional compensation is not required, amendments to the scope of services; NOW, THEREFORE,

  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Neighborhood and Housing Services is authorized to execute a First Amendment to the Contract with Kansas City Pet Project, said amendment in substantial form as that on file in the Neighborhood and Housing Services Office.
