ORDINANCE NO. 960451

 

Establishing on the books and records of the City of Kansas City, Missouri Fund No. 625 entitled "Inmate Canteen Expendable Trust"; designating requisitioning authority; and recognizing an emergency.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That Fund 625 to be entitled "Inmate Canteen Expendable Trust" is established on the books and records of the City of Kansas City, Missouri.

 

Section 2. That the revenues in the following accounts of the Inmate Canteen Expendable Trust are hereby estimated in the following amounts:

 

97-625-057-6536 Municipal Correctional Institution Fees $ 1,280.00 97-625-057-8529 Commissary Sales 345,820.00 97-625-057-8531 Miscellaneous Income 80,189.00

 

Section 3. That the sum of $427,289.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Inmate Canteen Expendable Trust No. 625 to the following accounts in the Inmate Canteen Expendable Trust:

 

97-625-057-2212-B $133,444.00 97-625-057-2212-C 194,967.00 97-625-057-2212-E 98,878.00

 

Section 4. That the Director of Neighborhood and Community Services is hereby designated as Trustee or requisitioning authority of the above named funds.

 

Section 5. That this ordinance as a general appropriation ordinance is recognized as an emergency within the provisions of Section 15, Article II, of the Charter of Kansas City, and shall take effect immediately upon passage.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
