ORDINANCE NO. 120114

 

Approving Amendment No. 1 with AMEC Earth and Environmental, Inc. for the Jackson County FEMA Floodplain Modernization project; authorizing the Director of Water Services to expend approximately $83,585.00; and recognizing an emergency.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Water Services Department is authorized to execute, on behalf of Kansas City, a $83,585.00 Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 227, 60820004, for the Jackson County FEMA Floodplain Modernization project. A copy of this contract is on file in the office of the Director of Water Services. 

 

Section 2. That the Director of Water Services is authorized to expend an additional $83,585.00 for the project from Account No. 12-8200-802331-B-619060, Stormwater Flood Monitoring.

 

Section 3. That this ordinance is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Section 503 of the City Charter in that it involves a public improvement, and shall take effect in accordance with that section.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
