Adopting a Supplemental Retirement Defined Contribution Tax Sheltered Plan and authorizing the City Manager to implement the same according to the Plan provisions.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the City of Kansas City, Missouri, hereby adopts the attached Supplemental Retirement Plan. The Plan is a defined contribution plan that is intended to satisfy the requirements of Sections 401 and 501 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 and its associated regulations. The Plan is also intended to be a profit sharing plan as described under the Internal Revenue Code.

Section 2. That the City Manager is authorized to implement the payment of employer contributions, consistent with the provisions of Code Section 2-1086(1) from funds to be appropriated, and in accordance with the provisions of the Supplementary Retirement Plan.
